Against the specialized professor
Marcel Danesi is an italian professor teaching at a canadian university. He has written more than 150 books on a wide variety of disciplines. The absence of specialization is defended by Danesi, who had problems in his Italian department, precisely because of this un-specialization. Finally, he had to leave this department, but not his university. Read more about him at University Affairs.
